Andi's Mission and Philosophy

Our mission

Andi isn't like any other search engine you've seen. We're a small startup building a totally new way to search safely and productively. We're on a mission to unbreak the Internet and save the world from spam, misinformation and ad tech.

Our goal is to keep you safe and productive online with search you can trust. That means saving you time, keeping you focused, and protecting you from ad-tech and tracking, and malicious websites or operators.

We try to help you find what you need, and nothing you don't. We protect you from distractions, tracking, and creepy privacy-invading ad-tech.

If we can find it, we'll get you the information you ask for directly rather than pointing you to it. We don't censor, so if you ask for something specifically we'll find it if we can.

We believe there is good and bad content. We don't want to censor or filter content, but we do want to help you find the best and most relevant content.

We want to help fund great content and journalism. We will share search revenue with content producers. Any content creator can join our network. We want to do this from the first days we start generating revenue.

Our mission is to serve our user community. You're the customer, not the product. We're not here to sell you anything. We're here to help you find what you need.

The entire web has been enslaved to the service of advertising and tracking, and invading people's privacy. Our mission is to put people first, and give the web back to you. We're making search you can trust.

Our philosophy

Get you what you need without the clutter and ads. Give you control over how you view and read it.

Traditional search engines overwhelm you with information and give you no control over how you consume it. Andi gets to the point.

We initially provide the minimum necessary information to answer a question or query, and then give you the ability to view or see more if you need it easily.

So if you ask for the time in New York, we'll tell you the time in New York, rather than presenting a screen full of ads and website links.
