Set Andi as Homepage and Search 🔍
You can set Andi as your default search engine and your home page for quick access to clean safe search results.
🚀 Quick Setup Options
📱 Add to Home Screen (iOS and Android)
On your mobile device, you can add Andi to your home screen for quick access:
Open Andi in your mobile browser
Tap the share icon (usually at the bottom of the screen)
Select "Add to Home Screen" or "Add to Screen Home"
Follow the prompts to add Andi to your home screen

🦊 Firefox
Set Search Engine for Firefox
Open Andi
Click the Page actions (3-dot) button on the address bar
Click Add Search Engine on the Andi icon that appears.
Go to Menu in top right (3-bars) and choose Preferences > Search > Default Search Engine and choose Andi from the lists.
Set Homepage for Firefox
Open Andi
Go to Menu in top right (3-bars) and choose Preferences > Home > Homepage and New Windows
Click on the dropdown and choose Custom URLs then click Use Current Page
You may also want to change New tabs to Blank Page in the dropdown.
🌐 Google Chrome or Chromium
Set Search Engine for Chrome
Open Menu icon at the top-right with three dots or lines.
Go to Settings then Search engine and click Manage search engines
Under Other search engines click Add
In the Add search engine box:
For Search engine enter Andi
For Keyword enter andi
Under URL with %s in place of query paste in https://andisearch.com/?query=%s
Click Add
Go to the new Andi entry in your list, and click the menu (3-dots) and choose Make default
Andi will now show under your Default search engines
When you go back, it will also appear as Search engine used in the address bar

Set Homepage for Chrome
Make sure you have Andi open
Open Menu icon at the top-right with three lines.
Go to Settings > On Startup > Open a specific page > Set pages
Click Use current pages and OK
🧭 Safari
Set Homepage for Safari
Make sure you are on Andi
Go to the Safari top menu (MacOS) or click the gears icon in top right (Windows).
Select Preferences > General
Click "Set to Current Page" under Homepage
Optionally: select Home Page next to New windows and New tabs (open with).
Unfortunately, Apple doesn't let you set a default search engine outside the existing monopolies. Why not let Apple know you'd love to see support for better options!
